Nichts ist für Mitglieder großer Organisationen erregender als das Ereignis einer Beförderung. Schon das Gerücht, Herr X könnte – möglicherweise, unter Umständen, vielleicht, wenn er Glück hat – befördert werden, gibt Anlass zu unzähligen Gesprächen innerhalb und außerhalb der Organisation.
