Zusammenfassung
Eine funktionierende Gesellschaft ohne Geld hat einigen Reiz. Die Zerstörung von Lebensraum, Ungleichheit bis hin zu himmelsschreiender Not und brutalster (organisierte) Gewalt hängen zum Großteil mit der Gier nach oder dem Mangel an Geld zusammen. Die Utopie von Sozialität ohne monetäre Beziehungen bei Erhaltung des westlichen Lebensstandards – bestenfalls mit einer prinzipiellen Totalinklusion aller Menschen in ein System mit bedingungsloser Möglichkeit zur Bedürfnisbefriedigung – erscheint umso attraktiver, als das aktuelle nahezu globale Wirtschaftssystem auf Basis von Geld eine – wie gezeigt werden wird – inhärente, nicht auflösbare Krisenhaftigkeit zeigt, die gleiche, die den Sturz monetärer Systeme in allen historischen Durchläufen lediglich zu einer Frage der Zeit machte.
