Zusammenfassung
Als Wohlfahrtsstaat werden zum einen ein spezifischer politischer Bereich und ein institutionelles Setting bezeichnet, die durch Zielsetzungen wie soziale Sicherheit und Verringerung sozialer Ungleichheit definiert sind. Zum anderen wird der Begriff zur Abgrenzung einer bestimmten staatlichen Entwicklungsform verwendet.
