Zusammenfassung
Das Akronym „CALL“ steht für „computer-assisted language learning“, also computer-vermitteltes Sprachenlernen. Beim „Sprachenlernen“ liegt dabei in der Praxis der Fokus zumeist auf dem Lernen einer Fremdsprache, oft dem Englischen (Sauro 2016). Der Computer wiederum steht stellvertretend für sämtliche Formen von digitalen (End-)Geräten, mit denen das Sprachenlernen und -lehren unterstützt werden kann, also auch mobile Endgeräte wie Smartphones oder Klassenzimmerausstattungen wie interaktive Whiteboards.
