Zusammenfassung
Die Familie als erste Sozialisationsinstanz hat eine besondere Bedeutung für die Sprachentwicklung von Kindern. Durch sie wird maßgeblich bestimmt, welcher Art von sprachlichem Input Kinder besonders in jungen Jahren ausgesetzt sind. Dazu gehören quantitative Aspekte, also die Menge des Kontakts, die ein Kind mit einer oder mehreren Sprachen hat, aber auch qualitative Aspekte, wie die Art und Weise, wie mit dem Kind und in seiner Umgebung sprachlich gehandelt wird.
