Prominent tauchen sie im Gespann mit Professionen auf, wo sie als Rahmen, Gegenspieler und Ermöglicher von Professionen diskutiert werden (2.1.1). Zahlreiche Untersuchungen widmen sich darüber hinaus der Typenspezifik von Organisationen sozialer Hilfe (2.1.2) oder thematisieren Fallbearbeitung allgemeiner als Prozess, der in oder durch Organisationen stattfindet (2.1.3).
