Zusammenfassung
Dieses Kapitel zeigt, dass es in vielen Organisationen an einer Grundvoraussetzung für erfolgreiche Kommunikation mangelt: einem einheitlichen Verständnis der Aufgaben zwischen der Leitungsebene und den Kommunikationsverantwortlichen. Entgegen naheliegender Vermutungen beeinträchtigt dies aber nicht das Vertrauen in die Arbeit der Kommunikationsabteilungen. Insbesondere in großen Unternehmen haben diese einen erheblichen Einfluss. Vorstände und Geschäftsführer konstatieren für die Zukunft sogar eine steigende Bedeutung und einen Machtzuwachs des Kommunikationsmanagements. Der Beitrag stützt sich auf zwei empirische Studien, für die einerseits 602 Vorstände und Geschäftsführer und andererseits 1.251 Kommunikationsmanager in deutschen Unternehmen befragt wurden.
