Misstrauen und Protestwahl in europäischen Demokratien

Zusammenfassung

Wahl- und Abstimmungserfolge von Protestparteien sind in den letzten Jahren zu festen Bestandteilen des politischen Lebens moderner Demokratien geworden. Dies belegen Ereignisse wie die der Sieg von Donald Trump bei der US-Präsidentschaftswahl 2016, das Votum der britischen Wähler für einen Austritt aus der Europäischen Union sowie die hohen Stimmenanteile anti-islamischer und rechtsnationalistischer Parteien, selbst in gefestigten europäische Demokratien wie der Schweiz oder den Niederlanden. Am linken Gegenpol des Parteiensystems finden ähnliche Umbrüche statt.
