Die Landschaft der Moselschleife bei Kröv (Abb. 9.1) ist ein idealtypisches Beispiel der mitteleuropäischen Kolonisierungslandschaft. Der Begriff steht für absichtliche physische Eingriffe in eine Landschaft, allermeist zum Zweck der Agrarwirtschaft bis hin zu ihren Folgelandschaften, wie etwa Städte und Industrielandschaften.
