Abstract

This thesis identified a new field of application for Process-Aware Information Systems, investigated its foundations, and presented new approaches to cope with its requirements. Social workflows have been classified as a new application relying on their own characteristic demands which required the development of new concepts. The research process on them has been rigorously conducted in the sense of design science (cmp. [Hev+04]) as it has been described in the approach of this thesis in section 1.3.
