Zusammenfassung
Stadtteile wie Berlin-Wedding werden häufig in der Öffentlichkeit und von Bewohnern mit dem Stigma des „Ghettos“ oder „Armutsviertels“ belegt. Kennzahlen von Arbeitslosigkeit, SGB-II-Bezug und ethnischer Segregation und deren Überlagerung deuten daraufhin, dass Berlin-Wedding – im stadtinternen Vergleich – von marginalisierten Menschen bewohnt wird (vgl. Häußermann/Kapphan, 2004). Städte sind segregiert und bilden damit eine soziale Landschaft, in der Zugänge zu Ressourcen ungleich verteilt und umkämpft sind (vgl. Blokland u.a., 2016).
