Der Beitrag zeichnet die vielschichtige Entwicklung internationaler Migrationen in, aus und nach Europa von den 1940er Jahren bis heute sowie die mit ihnen verknüpften demografischen und politischen Veränderungen nach Besonderes Augenmerk wird auf die räumlichen Muster von Migration und Migrationspolitik gelegt, die als Produkte und Medium sich wandelnder Migrationsregime verstanden werden.
