Zusammenfassung
Kap. 10 ist dem Hören gewidmet, einem aufgrund seiner Rolle für das Sprachverstehen für die gesunde soziale Entwicklung maßgeblichen Sinn. Eingangs des Kapitels führen wir in die ersten Begriffe der Psychoakustik ein, das heißt des Teils der Psychophysik, der sich mit dem Hören beschäftigt. Darauf folgt eine kurze Darstellung des auditiven Systems. Den Abschluss bilden Abschnitte, die die enge Verzahnung von Hören und Gedächtnis behandeln. Die Verbindung von Hören und Gedächtnis ist für das Verstehen der sich zeitlich erstreckenden Sprache von hoher Bedeutung und wurde daher intensiv untersucht.
Es hört doch jeder nur, was er versteht.
