Abstract

Findings of this research demonstrate that film (documentary genre) can be a promising instrument against FGM in Burkina Faso. During the conduction of the interviews and the participant observations at each ciné débat, it became apparent that the genre documentary was accepted by the locals and stimulated avid debates amongst the audiences.
