Zusammenfassung
Die Diskussion um die zukünftige Entwicklung der Technologie und ihre Auswirkungen auf den Arbeitsmarkt wird hierzulande gerade mit hoher Intensität geführt. Das Schlagwort „Industrie 4.0“ ist in aller Munde, spätestens seitdem es das Motto der Hannover-Messe 2015 war. In der medialen Rezeption wechseln sich Verheißung und Verwünschung ab. Einerseits werden die gigantischen Potenziale hervorgehoben – etwa beim industriellen Umsatz und der möglichen Vorreiterrolle, die ein Land wie Deutschland spielen könnte. Andererseits wird auf bedrohliche Arbeitsmarkteffekte verwiesen, etwa den Wegfall signifikanter Anteile von Industriearbeitern, das Verschwinden ganzer Berufssparten oder die Entgrenzung der Erwerbsarbeit.
