Abstract
Within this work, scanning tunneling spectroscopy and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy has been used in order to analyze different types of topology in relevant systems. The strong topological properties, which are already characterized for a broad range of materials, have been studied for the technologically relevant phase change materials. In the case of the weak topology, i.e. the other topological class in 3D, the experimental study on systems which are build by graphene-like sheets, displays the first ever demonstration of weak topological properties.
