Zwischen Anti-Rassismus und dem Zusammenprall der Kulturen

Zusammenfassung

Seit der Antike stellt Humor ein mehrfach untersuchtes Phänomen dar, welches immer wieder von verschiedenen Denkern und Wissenschaftlern aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven aufgegriffen wurde. So lassen sich die sogenannten klassischen Überlegenheits-, Inkongruenz- und Entlastungstheorien unterscheiden, die jeweils die Betonung auf unterschiedliche Aspekte setzen: die Überlegenheitsgefühle gegenüber Anderen, die kognitiven Prozesse zur Erkennung von Inkongruenzen und die Befreiung von Energie durch das Lachen sowie das Brechen gesellschaftlicher Tabus. Trotz der langen Tradition der Humor-Studien stellten die Komödie und weitere Manifestationen von Humor in den Medien im Vergleich zu weiteren ernsthaft en oder realistischen Genres für lange Zeit ein eher wenig untersuchtes Phänomen innerhalb der Medien- und Kommunikationswissenschaft dar.
