Zusammenfassung
Um die Treibhausgasemissionen der chemischen Industrie wirksam zu reduzieren, ist eine integrierte Analyse und Optimierung komplexer Produktionssysteme notwendig, die Rohstoff- und Energieeinsätze, resultierende Kosten sowie Umweltwirkungen berücksichtigt. Als ein Beitrag dazu wurde das Projekt InReff (Integrierte Ressourceneffizienzanalyse zur Senkung der Klimabelastung von Produktionsstandorten der chemischen Industrie) ins Leben gerufen. Ziel des Forschungsprojekts ist die Entwicklung einer IT-basierten Modellierungs- und Bewertungsumgebung, in der Problemstellungen der chemischen Industrie im Kontext von Ressourceneffizienz und Umweltschutz umfassend behandelt werden können. Dieser Beitrag führt in die Ressourceneffizienzthematik ein und erläutert die Grundkonzeption des Forschungsvorhabens. Es wird ein idealtypisches Modell zur Ressourceneffizienzanalyse vorgestellt und der konzeptionelle Aufbau einer IT-basierten Integrationsplattform erläutert. Eine Verifizierung des entwickelten Modells erfolgt anhand der hier vorgestellten Fallstudien der Industriepartner des Projekts. Abschließend wird ein Bezug zu weiteren Forschungsaktivitäten und -fragen hergestellt. Der Beitrag zeigt einen Ansatz zur Operationalisierung von Nachhaltigkeit im Produktionskontext und verdeutlicht die interdisziplinären Herausforderungen entsprechender Forschungsansätze.
