Psychologische Akkulturationsforschung

Zusammenfassung

Im Fokus der psychologischen Integrationsforschung steht die Erfassung unterschiedlicher Akkulturationsmuster von Personen mit Migrationshintergrund. Der Begriff Akkulturation wird dabei in der Regel in einem allgemeinen Sinne als die Aneignung einer zweiten Kultur verstanden. In diesem Beitrag werden nach einer Einführung in das Konzept der Akkulturation zunächst gängige Indikatoren (z. B. Verhalten, Identität, Sprache) vorgestellt, die üblicherweise zur Konzeptualisierung des Konstrukts herangezogen werden und die jeweils unterschiedliche Aspekte des Akkulturationsprozesses (Bedingung, Orientierung, Folge) abbilden. Des Weiteren werden bislang existierende Modelle, Erhebungs- und Auswertungsmethoden dargestellt, die in der psychologischen Akkulturationsforschung zur Ableitung verschiedener Typologien verwendet werden. Zudem erfolgt ein Überblick über die vorliegenden Studien aus Deutschland und die darin verwendeten methodischen Herangehensweisen. Schließlich werden anhand eines Datenbeispiels die Problematik der methodischen Heterogenität der vorliegenden Empirie und die daraus resultierende eingeschränkte Vergleichbarkeit vorliegender Forschungsbefunde illustriert.
