Zusammenfassung
Angesichts des Konsumententrends der Suche nach Bedeutung und nach Erlebnissen, die sich „echt“ anfühlen als Folge steigender Unsicherheit und einer wahrgenommenen „Über-Kommerzialisierung“ auch von Luxusmarken, ist die „Humanisierung“ von Marken durch Persönlichkeits-basiertes Markenmanagement (BPM) eine Chance, das steigende Bedürfnis der Konsumenten nach Authentizität zu befriedigen. Aufgrund der hohen Bedeutung symbolischen Nutzens, erscheint BPM für Luxusmarken besonders geeignet zu sein. Das Ziel dieses Kapitels ist es, einen Überblick zu geben über die Anwendung von BPM speziell für Luxusmarken. Nach Einführung der Konzepte Markenidentität und Markenpersönlichkeit, geben wir einen Überblick über die folgenden fünf Dimensionen der Persönlichkeit von Luxusmarken: Tradition, Bescheidenheit, Elitismus, Exzentrik und Sinnlichkeit. Darüber hinaus stellen wir die wichtigsten Strategien zur Entwicklung der Markenpersönlichkeit von Luxusmarken vor und diskutieren die Vorteile von BPM anhand praktischer Beispiele.
