Zusammenfassung
Nachhaltige, effiziente, zuverlässige und bezahlbare Infrastruktur hat eine große Bandbreite an langfristigen ökonomischen Vorteilen für Staaten und Nutzer, dennoch liegen die Investitionen häufig deutlich unter den als erforderlich erachteten Bedarfen. Dieser Beitrag beleuchtet die Möglichkeiten der Einbindung des Privatsektors in die Bereitstellung von Infrastruktur im Wasserbereich und zeigt Trends sowie diskutierte Lösungsansätze anhand des Beispiels eines Wasserversorgers im Nord-Osten Tansanias auf.
