Mobile Business, die Nutzung von mobiler IT in Unternehmen, ist wie kaum je ein anderes Thema sehr schnell zur breiten Umsetzung in der Praxis gelangt. Dieses Kapitel führt wichtige Grundbegriffe rund um Mobile Business ein. Die Potenziale hinsichtlich Prozessinnovationen, ausgelöst durch Mobile IT, werden anhand von sechs Bereichen der Wertschöpfungskette aufgezeigt. Anschließend behandelt der Beitrag Innovationen im Bereich des Geschäftsmodells sowie von Produkten und Services. Der letzte Teil des Beitrages widmet sich den kulturellen Aspekten sowie der Umsetzung dieser Innovationen im Unternehmenskontext.
