Der Gesundheitsbereich ist eine der beschäftigungsstärksten und für die Lebensqualität und die gesellschaftliche Zukunftsentwicklung wichtigsten Themenfelder in Deutschland. Die Bedeutung wird in den kommenden Jahrzehnten weiter zunehmen, weil die gesundheitlichen Versorgungs- und Reorganisationsbedarfe im demografischen Wandel wachsen.
