Abstract

The themes of interaction in distributed organizing are typical answers to complexity, which were found in this particular research network. Each group used a different combination of themes to answer external complexity and adapted these themes over time. In this section, a more generic model is suggested, which summarizes and aggregates the findings these themes yield. It allows configuring and conducting distributed organizing processes. It supports answering complexity by focusing on the control of ambiguity. In this thesis, it was already argued based on extant literature that ambiguity plays an important role in distributed organizing.
