Abstract
The purpose of this chapter is to demonstrate the applications of the proposed techniques in this thesis on the industrial benchmark plants and discuss their performance and effectiveness. Although a simulation example is given at the end of each chapter to show the ability of the methods, it is interesting to see the application of the proposed methods in real industrial processes. To this aim, the algorithms developed in this thesis have been applied to a laboratory setup of continuous stirred tank heater (CSTH) and the dryer section in a paper and board machine. Before starting the discussion about the application of the methods on the processes, a brief description about each process is given.
