Zusammenfassung

Betrachtet man das Zitat von Shudraka aus dem 5./6. Jahrhundert, so kann man dies auch auf die heutige Zeit übertragen. Armut ist auch heute noch Teil unserer Gesellschaft und die aktuellen statistischen Daten zeigen, dass 2011 ca. 12% der Bevölkerung in Österreich, das sind etwas mehr als 1 Million Menschen, unter der Armutsgefährdungsgrenze lebt (Statistik Austria 2011a).
