Zusammenfassung
Gamification wird aufgrund seines kommerziellen Erfolgs zunehmend in verschiedenen Bereichen und Branchen eingesetzt. Demgegenüber gibt es kaum Texte, die sich mit dem Phänomen, seiner Relevanz, seiner Funktionsweise und seinem Nutzwert aus einer wissenschaftlichen Perspektive heraus beschäftigen. Nach einer Einführung in die Definition und Richtlinien für eine funktionierende Gamifizierung geht der Artikel auf die Herausforderungen ein und gibt Handlungsempfehlungen, die bei Gamification berücksichtigt werden sollten, um erfolgreich und nachhaltig angewendet werden zu können. Praxisbeispiele schließlich runden das Kapitel ab und zeigen konkret, welche Möglichkeiten es für den Einsatz von Gamification gibt.
