Die Frage, was ein Mensch braucht, um ein gutes, gelingendes Leben zu führen, und das Anliegen, Chancen für Menschen zur Verwirklichung ihres Potentials im Sinne von Lebensqualität und Menschenwürde zu ermöglichen und sie in ihren Fähigkeiten zu stärken, verbinden den Capability Approach nach Amartya Sen mit dem befähigenden, ressourcen-, handlungsorientierten und klientenzentrierten Ansatz der Ergotherapie.
