Zusammenfassung
Web 2.0 und der hiermit einhergehende Trend zur sozialen Vernetzung via Social Media stellt gerade Unternehmen im Business to Business (B2B)-Sektor vor besondere Herausforderungen. Einerseits nutzen die hier in entsprechenden Managementpositionen arbeitenden Menschen privat längst Medien wie Facebook, Twitter, Internet-Foren, Wikis usw. – was deren Informations- und Kommunikationsmuster wesentlich beeinflusst und zugleich zu neuen Erwartungen an Informations- und Kommunikationsprozesse führt. Andererseits hinkt die Entwicklung B2B-spezifischer Social Media-Ansätze jenen Anwendungen im privaten Umfeld, wie sie hier etwa auch bereits von B2C-Unternehmen für Marketingzwecke immer intensiver genutzt werden, noch weit hinterher.
