Zusammenfassung
Dieser Beitrag gibt eine Einführung in die Beschreibung bzw. Modellierung von zeitlich veränderlichen Vorgängen mittels stochastischer Prozesse. Des Weiteren wird das Schätzen der statistischen Parameter dieser Prozesse mittels des Bayesschen Inferenz-Kalküls diskutiert. Im ersten Teil wird dazu der Begriff des stochastischen Prozesses eingeführt und am Beispiel des Bernoulli-Prozesses verschiedene Möglichkeiten der Darstellung eines Prozesses diskutiert. Es existieren verschiedene natürliche Verallgemeinerungen des Bernoulli-Prozesses hin zu komplexeren Prozessen, wovon in diesem Beitrag Markov-Ketten und Poisson-Prozesse diskutiert werden, da diese grundlegende Basisprozesse der statistischen Modellierung darstellen. Im Anschluss wird wiederum am Beispiel des Bernoulli-Prozesses das Bayessche Schätzen von Parametern eines statistischen Modells erl äutert. Im letzten Teil des Beitrags wird anhand eines nicht-trivialen Beispiels gezeigt, wie diese Methoden in der Praxis angewandt werden können.
