Zusammenfassung

Die in den Debatten um Migration und die mit Migration verbundenen Probleme konstruierte Kohärenz und Homogenität verdeckt die Verschiedenartigkeit, Ungleichzeitigkeit und teilweise auch interne Widersprüchlichkeit einzelner Migrationswege. In den auch massenmedialen Diskussionen über irreguläre Migration, Zuwanderung hochqualifizierter Arbeitnehmer, Integration von Arbeitsmigranten oder Sicherheitsbedenken gegenüber Muslimen in Deutschland verschwinden oft die individuellen Bemühungen und Handlungsoptionen der Menschen, die in Bewegung sind.
