Abstract

LTE is one of the newest releases of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) specifications. It is also referred to as 3.9G or Release 8. The 3GPP started working on LTE in November 2004 with the Radio Access Network (RAN) Evolution workshop in Toronto – Canada.
