Generally, 6DoF tracking of device or user pose is of central importance for augmenting the user’s view with further information in a ubiquitous environment. This chapter describes several tracking approaches which seek to improve the robustness, stability and accuracy of tracking. Various methods are shown and discussed that deal with position tracking in outdoor environments. Moreover, several novel improvements for orientation tracking are presented.
