Zusammenfassung

Die Bedeutung palliativer strahlentherapeutischer Maßnahmen in der Behandlung von Patienten mit fortgeschrittener bzw. bereits metastasierter Tumorerkrankung wird häufig fehleingeschätzt. Bei etwa 50–60% der Patienten einer strahlentherapeutischen Abteilung sind Bestrahlungen unter kurativer Zielsetzung nicht mehr möglich.
