Zusammenfassung
Auf der Intensivstation werden viele verschiedene Kathetermaterialien zum Monitoring oder zur Unterstützung des Patienten verwendet. Fehllagen dieses Fremdmaterials können zu lebensbedrohlichen Situationen führen. Deshalb spielt die Thoraxaufnahme direkt nach Einbringen des Fremdmaterials eine essenzielle Rolle, und der Kliniker sollte mit der radiologischen Darstellung der richtigen Lage und von Fehllagen des Fremdmaterials vertraut sein (s. Abb. 3.1–3.4), um ggf. eine zügige Korrektur vornehmen zu können (Tabelle 7.1; Zarshenas et al. 1994).
