Zusammenfassung
Mit der in den vorstehenden Kapiteln beschriebenen Therapie wird bei vielen Patienten eine definitive Heilung erreicht. Dies gilt ganz besonders für die Chirurgie des nichtkleinzelligen Bronchialkarzinoms der frühen Stadien. In anderen Fällen führt die Therapie zu kompletten Remissionen, die zum Teil mehrere Monate anhalten und bei einigen Patienten auch bereits Ausdruck einer definitiven Heilung sind. Dies gilt auch für einige Patienten mit kleinzelligen Bronchialkarzinomen. Die Betreuung des Patienten endet jedoch nicht mit dem Abschluß der primären Behandlung, sondern muß in Form einer Nachsorge fortgesetzt werden.
