Zusammenfassung
Mit dem Begriff der Brachytherapie (Kleinraumbestrahlung; griech. brachys: klein, nahe) werden nach Pierquin alle Bestrahlungstechniken bezeichnet, bei denen Radioisotope näher als 5 cm an oder direkt in Tumoren eingebracht werden (Pierquin 1965).
