Zusammenfassung

Fast alle Mißbildungen lassen sich einer bestimmten embryonalen Periode zuordnen (Abb. 3.1). Bestimmte Schädigungen z.B. durch Röntgenstrahlen, Chromosomendefekte oder Medikamente entfalten ihre größte Wirkung zu einer bekannten Zeit. Hier beschränken wir uns auf allgemeine Fehlentwicklungen des ganzen Auges. Die Mißbildungen der einzelnen Gewebe des Augapfels werden in den entsprechenden Kapiteln ausführlich diskutiert.
