Zusammenfassung

Das grundsätzliche Ziel jeder Strahlentherapie maligner Geschwülste ist es, eine maximale Zerstörung des Tumors bei möglichst geringer Schädigung der normalen Gewebe zu erreichen, wobei eine „Gratwanderung“ zwischen beiden Effekten der ionisierenden Strahlung häufig unumgänglich ist. Dieses Prinzip wurde erstmals im Jahre 1936 von Holthusen dargestellt (Abb. 101).
