Abstract
Chemical factors existing in an environment are important in defining a given environment. Moreover, the chemical environment, especially the salinity and temperature, are the important factors which also control the distribution of fauna, and with that the biogenic sedimentary structures. Thus, biogenic features can sometimes be better understood if detailed information about the chemical environment is available.
