Abstract
Acne patients generally overwash, hoping to moderate the disease by removing oil. Occasionally it is harmful, for some soaps contain comedogenic substances. Specialty items containing tars or sulfur are easy to spot but more ordinary soaps excessively used can become troublesome, especially if certain bacteriostatic substances are present.
