Zusammenfassung

Nach 30-jähriger klinischer Erfahrung ist die Chemotherapie heute eine allgemein akzeptierte Behandlungsform maligner Erkrankungen. Am eindruckvollsten sind ihre Erfolge bei den Hämoblastosen, während die zytostatische Behandlung der soliden Tumoren noch wenig befriedigt. Mit Ausnahme des selbst im metastasierten Stadium noch zu heilenden weiblichen Chorionepithelioms und Burkitt-Lymphoms und einiger Tumoren mit günstigerer Prognose sprechen im Durchschnitt nur 15% der malignen soliden Tumoren mit objektivierbaren Rückbildungen auf die Chemotherapie an.
