Zusammenfassung

Die Osteomyelitis ist eine akute oder chronische, durch Infektion bedingte Knochenentzündung. Sie kann entsprechend der Kontamination mit den Erregern als primäre oder sekundäre Osteomyelitis bezeichnet werden; eine andere Einteilungsmöglichkeit beruht auf der mikrobiellen Ätiologie.
