Intensive care of acute ischemic stroke

Abstract

This work addresses the everyday situation in stroke assessment and treatment. It does not consider the problem of global ischemia but presents an overview of the current status in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke, with special respect to what happens in cardiology and in cardiosurgical patients with an acute stroke.
