Abstract
This case is similar to that of the documentation department. Newspaper articles must be stored for later retrieval in order to create new articles. The main difference here is that the articles are already in computer readable format. The following mark-ups were already available:
-
Date in YYMMDD format.
-
Section and page it was placed on. This made some type distinction possible. Possible sections are among others main news, national news, sports, culture, economy, and foreign news.
-
Theme, a code to indicate what the news is about.
-
Field containing the name of the person the article is about.
-
Field containing the subject the article is about.
-
A numerically coded category.
-
A nation field with a code, containing a code for the nation followed by a category code.
-
Author(s).
-
Heading.
-
The bold or larger first part of the article.
-
The main body of the article.
