Zusammenfassung

Zur Prognose der Virusenzephalitis findet man im Schrifttum sehr divergierende Mitteilungen, ebenso wie die Häufigkeitsangaben für die einzelnen Krankheiten stark voneinander abweichen. Die für unseren Bereich Mitteleuropa publizierten Prozentzahlen über Letalität, Defektheilung oder Restitutio ad integrum stützen sich auf zu kleine Patientenkollektive.
