Abstract

The diagnosis and therapy planning in patients with peripheral vascular disease is an area in medicine that is well suited for the development of protocols and for the application of decision support systems. In this paper the diagnostic process and the planning of therapy in these patients is outlined. Our approach to the development of a decision support system in this area will be discussed. We will conclude with the description of the first subsystem that has been developed.
