Summary
As in other technical areas the mathematical model has become an important tool for the design and guidance of manufacturing processes. It is described how such a model is constructed and how a simulation is carried out. The main applications of the model are the analysis of existing manufacturing plants, the design of future manufacturing processes and the comparative investigation and evaluation of existing and new guidance methods.
