Mechanisms of Symptomatic Occurrence

  • Jiro Suzuki

The most characteristic symptom of moyamoya disease in children is repeated transient ischemic attacks (TIA), whereas in adults it is usually intracranial hemorrhage of sudden onset. Since the symptomatology of moyamoya disease has been considered previously in detail [12, 200, 206, 210], discussion in this chapter will focus on the causal mechanisms of symptoms in moyamoya disease.
