Abstract

For a better understanding of the function of the hypothalamo-hypophysial system it is useful to present briefly the taxonomie position ofZonotrichia leucophrys gambelii, its ecology, and the cycles that are controlled via the hypo- thalamo-hypophysial axis, and to make brief comparisons with other taxa of Zonotrichia.
